How people join
Friendly Reminder only texts people who sign up themselves by texting a join code.
1. The organizer invites the group
The person who pays the shared bill posts an invite in their own group chat:
Hey all - I set up Friendly Reminder for Golfinity. Text GOLF to (737) 200-1866 to get your share + a Venmo link each month. Takes 10 seconds.
2. Each person opts in by text

Welcome to Golfinity with Dustin! Which one are you? 1) Mike 2) Steve 3) Dave Reply with a number.

You're in, Steve! Friendly Reminder will text you when Golfinity ($25/mo) is due, with a Venmo link. Reply STATUS anytime to see who's paid. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
What people agree to
- Reminders about the shared bill they joined: their share, a pay link, payment updates for the group, and a daily status after the due date until it's paid.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time, START to rejoin, HELP for help.
- By texting the join code, they agree to receive recurring automated texts from Friendly Reminder about that bill. Consent is not required to buy anything.
- We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Organizers sign in to the website with a one-time code texted to their own number when they ask for it.
